High-pressure Through-spindle Coolant System

Introduction to the Weidoya high-pressure through-spindle coolant system.

Internal cooling for machine tools, deep-hole drilling in machining centres, through-spindle cooling, through-tool cooling and deep-hole machining

Inquiry

The Weidoya through-spindle coolant system, also called internal spindle/tool cooling, pressurizes coolant and directs it through the spindle to the cutting zone. This rapidly lowers tool temperature during machining and provides immediate cooling. The force of the high-pressure coolant also removes chips and other debris generated during milling, improving machining conditions.

Why machine tools need a Weidoya through-spindle coolant system.

Conventional machine tool cooling often removes chips poorly from holes, particularly deep holes and hole bottoms. Prolonged contact between chips and the tool can push the bore diameter beyond tolerance, reduce surface finish and accelerate tool wear. Without through-spindle coolant, frequent peck drilling is required, increasing machining time and reducing production efficiency.

Key advantages of the Weidoya through-spindle coolant system.

1. Efficient chip removal: high-pressure coolant flushes machining chips away quickly and effectively, preventing chips from wrapping around cutting tools and helping production run smoothly and efficiently.

2. Increased productivity: higher cutting speeds and substantially shorter peck-drilling times improve production efficiency and capacity, strengthening market competitiveness.

3. Longer tool life: internal tool cooling precisely reduces high cutting temperatures and the resulting thermal stress, extending tool life and reducing purchasing costs.

4. Reduced tool wear: the coolant’s lubricating properties reduce machining wear, lowering tool replacement frequency and consumption and saving tooling costs.

5. Improved product quality: better component surface finish reduces machining-related rejects, improves overall quality and yield, and supports production of high-quality products.
