Weidoya Recommendations for Using Machine Tool Pumps
Precautions for use.
Use a large-capacity tank wherever possible, with a capacity greater than 3 times the pump flow per minute. A small tank can cause fluid temperature rise and foaming, leading to noise and reduced pump performance.
When installing the pump, maintain a clearance of at least 20–30 mm between the bottom of the pump casing and the tank bottom.
Minimize pipe bends and fittings to reduce pressure loss in the piping.
Install the pump in a well-ventilated location protected from oil splashes and accessible for maintenance and inspection.
Use the specified power supply.
Clean the oil tank regularly (two or three times a year) to remove foreign matter.
Self-priming ACP-A pumps use mechanical seals. Dry running is strictly prohibited and can cause pump failure.
Install the self-priming pump as close as possible to the oil surface.
To prevent foreign matter entering the pump, install at least two partitions (baffles) inside the tank and use a filter of #100 mesh or finer.
