Installation Precautions for A-RYUNG Self-priming Pumps
A-RYUNG ACP-A self-priming pumps must be primed before first use after installation and before restarting after a long shutdown. Running without priming damages the mechanical seal. Do not run dry for 30 seconds or longer.
Fill with oil through the discharge port until all air in the pump has escaped through the suction port. Running the pump before it is completely filled can damage the seal; take care to prime it fully.
If the suction-line piping is lower than the discharge port, oil cannot be filled. Use another device to expel the air or raise the filling port.
The maximum suction length for a self-priming pump must be less than 0.6 m.
If the suction-pipe end is too close to the tank floor or wall, water hammer, noise and vibration may occur. Chips or other contaminants can reduce pump performance. Maintain sufficient clearance, at least 20–30mm.
Machining chips entering the pump can wear and damage the mechanical seal. Installing a filtration system is therefore recommended.
