MD5 Series 5-phase Stepper Motor Drivers
InquiryMD5 series 5-phase stepper motor drivers provide precise motor control with very low mechanical noise and vibration. Individually isolated optocoupler inputs minimize electrical-noise effects. Built-in functions include automatic power-off and self-diagnostics. Microstepping provides smooth low-speed rotation and high-precision indexing.
Main Features
Bipolar constant-current five-phase drive.
Built-in automatic current reduction and self-diagnostic functions.
Microstepping drive enables low-speed rotation and high-precision control (MD5-HD14, MD5-HF14, MD5-HF14-AO and MD5-HF28).
Up to 250 microstep divisions provide a step resolution of 0.00288° for a 5-phase stepper motor with a basic step angle of 0.72°. One motor revolution requires 125,000 pulses.
Optocoupler input isolation minimizes external interference

- MD5-HD14: DC type, 1.4 A/phase, microstepping driver.
- MD5-HF14: AC type, 1.4 A/phase, microstepping driver.
- MD5-HF14-AO: AC type, 1.4 A/phase, microstepping driver with alarm output.
- MD5-HF28: AC type, 2.8 A/phase, microstepping driver.
- MD5-ND14: DC type, 1.4 A/phase, standard stepper driver.
